Preschool
Freeling Preschool is co-located on the Freeling Primary School site. The Preschool operates Monday to Friday 9:00am - 3:00pm with each child enrolled for 5 days a fortnight (2 consecutive days one week and 3 consecutive days the following week).
The Department for Education "Same First Day' policy determines when children are eligible to begin preschool. Children born before May 1st may begin preschool the year they are turning 4. Children born on or after May 1st begin preschool the year after they turn 4. If you are unsure of when your child should begin preschool, please contact us.
Aboriginal students may enrol in preschool when they are 3.
When enrolling your child in preschool, you will be required to provide:
- proof of age and identity (ie birth certificate)
- immunisation records
- any custody orders in place
Please contact us in term 1 or 2 the year before your child is scheduled to start preschool. Your child will be placed on our projected enrolment list, and places will be offered in late September/early October. Families living in Freeling are prioritised for enrolment. Once all local families have children enroled, any remaining places may be offered to families living outside the local area.
Preschool fees for 2024 are $340 ($85 per term). The full amount is due by week 6 of term 1 or $85 can be paid by week 4 of each term.
